You guys. What if Merle isn't the Governor. What if it turns out to be Shane?

Last night was definitely a turning point with him. We see what he does and doesn’t have qualms about doing.

No no it’s not going to be Shane either. The whole point of the Governor is someone who has formed his own separate group/society. It won’t be one of the cast members.

It will NOT be Shane. Neither will it be Merle. Or at least I hope so.

for those who haven’t read the Graphic Novel;
SPOILER ALERT!!

Shane’s turning point further developed his character and his story that the Graphic Novel never went into much detail in. This event, more than anything, will develop to his future death.

The Governor MUST be another different character. I think the most interesting thing about the Governor is the sophistication of his character. We never got much back-story on his character other than his daughter.
As for Merle, I predict him to be one of the Governor’s men seeking revenge on Rick for leaving him for dead.
